The Bhopal School of Social Sciences celebrated International Yoga Day on June 21, 2018. The Principal Dr. Fr. John P.J., teachers, students and supports staff gathered in the college auditorium for an hour practice of yoga.
The Principal Dr. Fr. John P.J. addressed the gathering and spoke about the benefits of regular yoga practice. Then he joined the audience to participate actively in the yoga session conducted by yoga instructor Ms. Sulabha Dixit. She began with the importance of good posture and went on to involve each one in the practice of different poses while explaining the physical, mental benefits of each. Everyone was made aware of the relevance of yoga practice in achieving optimum health. Several competitions were organised for the students and around 60 students and 80 staff members took part in this event. The winners of the competitions were:
- Slogan Writing - Madhubala Porewal
- Essay - Shriya Prasad
- Poster Making - Mahima Malviya
The Whole programme was coordinated by the program officers of N.S.S. Dr. D.B. Singh and Dr. Vandana Jain.
