TO STOP the rising brutality and to establish humanity, the Humanities Department of The Bhopal School of Social Sciences organised International Humanitarian Day with great enthusiasm and zeal. On this occasion, college Alumni Aruneshwar Singh was the chief guest. At the time of inauguration a small sapling as a symbol of humanitarian was planted in which water and soil were considered the sign of humanity and custom. The main theme of the program was the escalating crime rate and terrorism in the society and to revive once again the declining moral values. Aruneshwar Singh pointed that the youth is the legitimate strength of the society and the first step has to be taken by them, they have to learn to respect the elders and women, also they have to free themselves from the clutches of intoxication. This is the first time when we have to sustain our society.
BSSS also inaugurated Dev Aahaaram, a new venture, through it the needy patients of the AIIMS Hospital will be given food at no cost everyday. The inauguration was done by Aruneshwar Singh and Dr. Fr. John PJ. While inaugurating Dev Aahaaram, Principal Dr. Fr. John PJ said that contribution of food is the big donation and every religion emphasizes on this. Our student and teachers are going to give their active participation for this noble venture.
Along with Dev Aahaaram, the Alumni portal for BSSS was also launched today by these very dignitaries. Various inter-departmental competitions were held in which the students were creatively presented dances and 'Nukkad Natak', on the themes like social evils and tenderness. Mishkit Usmani directed a Nukkad Natak on the theme 'Swachta Abhiyaan', in which they brilliantly focused not only sweeping the dirt of the road but also the filthiness of our inner selves.
