Session on - Entrepreneurship Basics

The Department of Commerce in collaboration with Entrepreneurship Development Cell organise a session on ‘Entrepreneurship Basics’ on 27 September 2023 for the students of B. Com III Semester (Honours) and registered students of E.D Cell. The Resource person of this session was Mr. Aayush Goswami, COO, Hind Pharma. He is a second generation entrepreneur in the field of pharmaceutical manufacturing . The session begins with the welcome address given by student representative Ms. Ishani Verma of B. Com III Semester (Hons) Section A. The resource person of the session asked the students to keep following points in m ind in order to become successful entrepreneur

• Set a specific t target,
• Come out of comfort zone
• Invest in yourself to get more knowledge, for this readand research thoroughly, read books (self help & technical books), Read a book every week.
• Make a habit of jotting things down important points
• Time management is must
• Keep enhancing y our network
• Make good friends (friends will dictate how you'll grow in life)
• Taake educated and rationalised risk
• Have a positive mindset
• Have a good mentor and connect/communicate with them on regular basis
• Make mistakes and learn from them and l earn from others mistake as well
• Take care of your health (mental & physical)
• Take risks (educated & rationalised risk)
• Entrepreneurship is not a position it’s a journey

During the open house discussion students clarified their respective doubts by seeking more elaboration from the resource person. Dr Ashish Dilraj, Head, Department of Commerce felicitated the expert speaker by giving memento. The session concluded by vote of thanks being proposed by Mr. Aditya Majumdar student of B.
