Statue of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi was unveiled at The Bhopal School of Social Sciences (BSSS) premises on the 150th Birth Anniversary on Friday. Public Relations, Law and Legal Affairs Minister PC Sharma as a chief guest inaugurated the statue on the occasion.
PC Sharma greeted the college management and said that Gandhiji was an ideal person who following the path of truthfulness and non-violence proved his capability in the world.
Sharma said that Rabindra Nath Tagore seeing great contribution, sacrifice and feeling of serving the society of Mahatma Gandhi called him Mahatma. Minister Sharma commended discipline in BSSS and appealed the students to follow the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi.
Principal Dr. Fr. John P.J. addressing on the occasion said that Gandhi had understanding about the humanity and his simplicity and memorable outstanding works for the country are invaluable.
His teachings are still relevant. He appealed the students to follow the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi and take the nation up to a new height.
