The Bhopal School of Social Sciences (BSSS) celebrated the annual sports day 'Dangal' with great zeal and fervour. The sports events were already taking place past one month to screen the finalists for various games.
The last day of annual sports culminated with the final matches under various sports of Basketball, volleyball, cricket, table tennis, badminton, chess etc. The first final was for the football match between BCom Economics and PG which was won by BCom Economics. The 5 kms Marathon for boys was won by Shourya Dubey from Humanities Department.
The cricket match between teaching and non-teaching staff was very entertaining one. Throughout the match, the commentators remarked on the style and techniques of the players in a very humorous manner. Also, the inter-departmental basket ball match computers and humanities was full of witty moves.
The college rejoiced in the spirit and aura of sports. The wonderful fusion of sports and entertainment could win hearts of the crowd. The events were mingled with, sports and dances. The lovely spring weather facilitated the conduct of events in a healthy and happy manner. The students and the staff performed and participated with much enthusiasm and energy and the event became a memorable one to sustain everyone for another year and wait eagerly for the coming year. Principal Dr. Fr. John P.J. extended his blessings and best wishes to the players and spectators.
The final winners of the games were Saket Jain and Shivani Mahto for Badminton boys and girls respectively. Anushree Bajpayee and Sourabh Yadav for Table Tennis girls and boys, Rohit Singh Chauhan and Tina Jaiswal shot put, Ritesh Ekka and Sarabpreet Kaur for Javelin Throw.
