Rules

  • Strict silence, decorum and discipline must be maintained in the library
  • All students must ensure that they have collected their ID card (Which is also their Library card) from their respective class counsellors within one month of the commencement of the academic year.
  • Entry into the library will be permitted only to those students who have their identity card with them.
  • No library materials can be taken out of the library without permission.
  • Undergraduate students are entitled to borrow two books at a time while the postgraduate students may borrow four books at a time.
  • Students are fully responsible for the books borrowed by them on their library cards.
  • Students may keep the books for a period of 10 days during the first issue which may be reissued for another 7 days manually or online from the student's MIS. In case of any technical difficulty students may reissue it by sending a mail to the library in-charge at library@bsssbhopal.edu.in
  • Books in the reference section are not available for issuing. It is meant for reference use in the Library itself.
  • Late return of book will be fined Rs.2/- per day.
  • Damage if noticed in any book needs to be brought to the knowledge of the librarian before borrowing that book.
  • Books lost, defaced or damaged in any way will have to be replaced by the borrower.
  • Borrowed books ought to be kept safe in custody. In case of losing or damaging any book, a new copy of the book or double the price of the book should be paid as penalty.
  • Students must return all library books prior to the commencement of the annual examination, else admit cards will not be issued.
  • Students who desire to keep certain books for their studies during the examination may issue those books from the departmental libraries.
  • Students from reserved categories, namely SC/ST/OBC are permitted to borrow two additional books from the library under the book bank scheme.
  • Anyone who violates the rules and regulations of the library would be liable to lose the privilege of library membership and may be debarred from using the library facilities.
