Bhopal,
the city of lakes, is the second largest city of Madhya Pradesh, founded by
the ERSTWHILE Parmara Ruler King Bhoj. It is a fascinating amalgam of scenic
beauty, historic city and modern urban planning. Bhopal, today presents a multi
faceted profile; the old city with its teeming market places and fine old mosque
and palaces still bear the aristocratic imprint The city of lakes is surrounded by beautiful forests from all the sides. Three wild life sanctuaries viz. Singhori, Ratapani, Narasingarh around Bhopal and one national park right in the centre of the city provide a good abode for wild flora and fauna. Bhopal
is connected by Road, Rail and Air from various parts of our country. Apart
from the long distance sources by road, there are many services to nearby places
within the state. Bhopal Railway Station is a major railway station. It is connected
by rail to all parts of the country being on the main north- south line of the

historic city is divided as Old Bhopal and New Bhopal. Bhopal is one of the
greenest cities of India. It has wide clean well lit roads lined with fairy
tall gulmohar trees. Bhopal is known for its exquisite manners and high culture.
