The Department of Economics became operational from 2013-14 to offer B.A. Honours (Economics) and M.A. Economics to meet the growing demand of seekers to higher education to specialize in particular subject domain.

CERTIFICATE COURSES OFFERED:
The department offers Certificate Course in Dynamics of Event Management and Certificate Course in Marketing Research, under the centralized system of the Certificate Courses open for all students.

The Erudite Economists Club, BSSS is the student run society of the Department of Economics. The club works to engage a wider cross section of the student fraternity by coordinating interactive events that go beyond the realm of the classroom and which promote leadership and initiative while providing resources to learn and network.
