Infrastructure

For the fulfillment of the academic and co curricular needs of the learners, the college provides extensive infrastructure which includes spacious well-equipped classrooms, departmental staff rooms, research center, smart classrooms, conference rooms, seminar hall, audio visual rooms, language lab, auditorium, extensive sports infrastructure and an open alumni theatre.

Library

The Archbishop Eugene D' Souza Memorial library is a perfect blend of academics and aesthetics. The library spread over an entire wing is computerized for ease of accessibility. The aesthetic interiors and extensive reading area provides a perfect atmosphere. The library houses a rich collection of books, journals, periodicals, reference material and CDs that is regularly updated and enriched. It also has four computer stations equipped for the use of audio visual materials. 

Reading Room

A separate reading room with a seating capacity of 75 students is made available for students to do their reference reading, project work and reading based discussions and activities. 

Computer Labs

The college has expansive computer labs with a Central Computer facility. The systems are connected through LAN and have Internet connectivity at all times. Other IT facilities include LCD, printers, laptops, CD writers and scanner. The admission procedures, payment of fees and several other administrative functions are computerized to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Staff and 
students enjoy free use of computers and Internet for projects, research, presentations, workshops, lectures etc. 

Psychology Lab

The psychology lab provides an opportunity to test the theoretical principles of psychology through innovative designing of experiments in social settings. The soundproof lab is equipped with the latest gadgets and instruments to facilitate behavioral studies. 

Language Lab

A handsomely furnished, state of the art language lab is available to facilitate the learning of English language and communication skills. The lab has 24 work stations and offers 5 levels of the BBC English Edge program from Basic to Post-intermediate levels. The programs are comprehensive and user friendly and use a functional, highly communicative and interactive approach. They cover all essential areas of language learning including grammar, usage, vocabulary, pronunciation and communication skills. The lab has an exclusive teacher trainer who is available from 8.30 am to 4 pm for aspiring learners. This facility is available free of any additional cost. It caters to an essential focus area of the college to improve and develop the power of expression and the communicative abilities of our students in English language. 

Audio Visual Rooms

These rooms, equipped with Computers, OHP, Television, DVD players and LCDs, are part of the support system that supplements classroom learning. These learner tools also enhance student interest and help optimize learner benefits. The new audio visual hall with improved acoustics has state of the art equipment and furniture, which seats the audience in a stair like ascending arrangement for better eye contact and communication. 

Conference Rooms

Three air-conditioned rooms are fitted with LCDs, mikes and speakers to facilitate ready communication among participants. This facility is frequently used for seminars, workshops and conferences that are an integral part of the functioning of the college. 

Fitness Center

Furnished with 16 workout stations and a variety of specialized equipment, the fitness center underlines the emphasis given by the college to good health and fitness. Students are encouraged to make full use of the fitness center and may also receive expert guidance from the department of Physical Education. 

Sports

The college recognizes the need for sports and physical training as indispensable for all round grooming. It has full-fledged degree courses in Physical Education. Moreover, students of all streams are encouraged to take active part in sports and games. The campus is geared to provide state of the art courts and grounds for field and track events, football, cricket, volleyball, basketball, lawn tennis, badminton and table tennis. BSSS has had an impressive record in individual and team performances at the university, zonal and national levels.

Sports Complex / Auditorium

A centrally air-conditioned new indoor sports complex cum auditorium with a seating capacity of 1800 is available for academic, co-curricular and extracurricular activity.  

Women's Room

The girl students are provided with a separate room which functions as a common room and meets their specific requirements. 

Open-air Study Areas

In recognition of the wholesome influence of natural surroundings on studies, the college offers a Gurukul surrounded by lawns and garden for the purpose. In addition this year the college has also developed a beautiful waterside area with trees and benches to further encourage students to study and conduct discussions in close proximity to nature. Not only are these areas pleasing to the eye but also help students to study in a healthy and relaxing environment and promote appreciation of natural beauty. 

Infirmary

To meet the medical urgencies and emergencies B.S.S.S. provides a sick room equipped with basic first aid facility and resting place for the students as well as the staff. Students who fall sick during the college hours or get hurt during sports or any other time on campus avail this facility. The students are kept till such time that arrangements have been made to inform the parents / guardians of the sick student. 

Music Room

College has a well equipped music room with all the latest as well as traditional instruments costing more than 3, 00,000. It has all the modern instruments like lead electronic guitar, bass and acoustic guitar, drums, octopad, saxophone, synthesizer and shakers. It also has traditional instruments like tabla, harmonium, sound mixers, speakers and Mic sets. 

Research Cell

Research activities are an integral part of college academic work. The Research Cell helps to facilitate serious, meaningful and relevant research activities in a suitable, research-friendly environment. This is an asset for both teachers and students, as the cell is well equipped with IT facilities, reference and resource books as well as a reading room. 

Multimedia Lab

The college is equipped with a state of the art multimedia lab with 20 HP make desktop computers with i3 Processor, 4 GB RAM, 1TB Hard disk, Graphics Card, Windows 8 OS, DVD Writer, LED Monitor, 1 LCD Projector, Internet and Wi-Fi facility. The systems have updated multimedia production software's like Adobe Flash, Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effect, MS Office. 

Smart Board Equipped Classrooms

40 of our classrooms are equipped with smart boards to facilitate further use of IT and ICT. 

Day Care Centre

For the benefit of our staff a special Day Care Centre has been set up by the college to take care of their infants and toddlers while they are at work.
