Job Description for Faculty Positions

The Bhopal School of Social Sciences (BSSS) was founded in the year 1972 at the initiative of Most Rev. Dr. Eugene D'Souza, the then Archbishop of Bhopal in response to the need of the time for a broad based, job oriented curriculum with an initial focus on social service and entrepreneurship. The institution is supported and managed by the Archdiocese of Bhopal through the BSSS Foundation Society chaired by the Archbishop of Bhopal. BSSS is looking for dedicated and committed faculty members who will be able to contribute to the Institute's academic excellence and integrity.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate their ability to contribute to the intellectual advancement of potential, research aptitude and published work. Applicants should be able to integrate current developments of business environment with fundamentals of their relevant subject area. Faculty members are expected to carry out research, design and teach courses, engage in institution development and conduct training program and undertake consultancy.

Minimum Qualification and Experience Requirements for Faculty Positions:

For academic positions, the qualification, experience etc. shall be governed by University Grants Commission (UGC) norms.

• All qualifications must be from UGC recognised University/Deemed University or AICTE approved autonomous institution (wherever applicable). The courses offered by autonomous institutions should be equivalent to the relevant course approved/recognised by Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

• Candidates called for interview to fill a vacancy, may be considered for lower post if they are otherwise found suitable.

• Depending on the academic credentials of the candidate, the institute may consider them an offer on the contractual basis of one/two years.
