BSSS IMPACT Volunteers Promote Wildlife Conservation During Wildlife Week

The IMPACT – Social Outreach Committee of the Department of Management at The Bhopal School of Social Sciences (BSSS) volunteered at Van Vihar National Park during Wildlife Week (Vanyajeev Saptah), held from 1 to 7 October 2026. This marks the fourth consecutive year that BSSS student volunteers have participated in Wildlife Week activities at Van Vihar. Under the supervision of Dr. Smita Pillai and Dr. Namrata Kishnani, In-charges of the Department of Management Social Outreach Committee, students assisted Van Vihar officials in organizing various activities aimed at promoting wildlife conservation, environmental awareness, and responsible natural resource management among school and college students.

This initiative reflects IMPACT's vision of "Bridging the Social Gap," inspiring young students to bring positive change to society through meaningful social and environmental efforts. Volunteers actively supported numerous awareness and engagement activities—including stone painting, storytelling, and other interactive sessions designed to make learning about wildlife and conservation engaging and impactful.

A major highlight of the event was the 'Treasure Hunt,' which saw enthusiastic participation from teams representing various schools, colleges, and the Bhopal Camera Club. The BSSS team emerged as the winner, with Disha Meghani, Paras Janyani, and Priyansh demonstrating outstanding teamwork, enthusiasm, and coordination. This ongoing collaboration with Van Vihar provides BSSS students with valuable experiential learning, encouraging them to become socially responsible and environmentally conscious citizens. The Department of Management praised the dedicated efforts of all IMPACT volunteers for contributing to the successful organization of Wildlife Week activities.
