In keeping with our sensitivity towards market needs and global requirements for English language proficiency and effective communication, the BSSS offers an internationally recognized certificate course in association with the University of Cambridge- ESOL. The course provides a qualification that complements the core degree courses. The training focuses on appropriacy and correctness and helps students achieve clarity, coherence, and fluency of expression. Students are trained in skills such as socializing, telephoning, discussions, presentations, meetings, business correspondence and interviews in learner centered and friendly interactive environment. Experts trained by the British Council train students. At the end of the course students are required to qualify a Cambridge Exam after which they receive an internationally recognized certificate. The advanced levels train the students to achieve sophistication in language through cohesion, analysis, a range of structures, interpretation and productive understanding of corporate language.
Eligibility: Students of all streams of UG and PG are eligible to opt for these courses. The Department of English helps the candidates to decide the level for which they are suitable with the help of a placement test. It is not necessary to start with the first level of this course.
BEC Fees
The fee structure for BEC will be as follows:
BEC Preliminary: Rs. 5000
BEC Vantage: Rs. 5500
BEC Higher: Rs. 7500
