Under Graduate Degree in Collaboration with Concordia College, New York

The Bhopal School of Social Sciences entered into yet another innovative phase of its journey since its inception in 1972. BSSS is now all set to offer its students an Under Graduate degree in collaboration with Concordia College, New York, USA.

BSSS signed a Memorandum of Understanding MoU with Concordia College wef 15 November 2018. The intent of both the colleges is to develop a long term, mutually beneficial relationship whereby students of BSSS may be eligible to enrol and participate in a transfer undergraduate degree program of academic study at Condordia. Upon successful completion of the academic program of study, the students will be conferred a degree by Concordia.

Concordia is accredited by the Commission on Higher Education of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and offers various academic programs at the undergraduate and graduate level.

The four-year degree course will have a tenure of 2 years studies at BSSS and another two years study at Concordia. The Concordia College would also offer scholarships to meritorious students of BSSS a scholarship of ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00 USD) only per annum for students who meet all of Concordia's eligibility requirements, which includes a minimum of 6.5 GPA on 10.0 GPA or the equivalent at BSSS. Students shall have secured a minimum of seventy-four (74) TOEFL IBT/120 IBT. Students who have successfully demonstrated competency in their English language skills, as determined by Concordia, will be exempt from the TOEFL.IELTS requirements.

Students will also be eligible to apply for the Honours program with an 8.5 GPS or World Education Services (WES) equivalent. Honours program students would be eligible to receive up to a maximum scholarship of fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000.00 USD) per year, upon fulfilling Concordia's admissions requirements. Concordia's India Liaison office will also provide guidance and support to BSSS students regarding the education loan application and visa application process.

BSSS, through this MoU, has paved way for a new perspective to higher education with opening up of new avenues and better opportunities. The path way to foreign studies will help students to learn and get equipped for competitions at global level.
