A 2 DAY INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON MULTIDISCIPLINARY RESEARCH PERSPECTIVES SUCCESSFULLY BEGINS AT BSSS

The Bhopal School of Social Sciences successfully inaugurated its ‘2-Day International Conference on Multidisciplinary Research Perspectives’ (ICMPR – 2023) on 16th February 2023, which was conducted by Research and Publication Cell, BSSS. The ceremony began with the lighting of the lamp by the most Rev. Dr. A.A.S. Durairaj SVD Archbishop of Bhopal & Chairman of the college, Vice Chancellor, Barkatullah University- Mr. Suresh Kumar Jain, Dr. Father John. P.J. Principal BSSS, Dr. Sr. Soni Kurian, Vice Principal, BSSS Mr. Chanturia Georgiy, Synergy University, Moscow, Mr. Avinash Shivalkar, DGM, NABARD.
Dr. Fr. John P.J. welcomed and congratulated the participants for coming up with such a wider spectrum of multidisciplinary research perspectives. He with immense pride unveiled the fifty years journey of BSSS since its inception in the year 1972 which is currently a NAAC Re-accredited Autonomous College under the UGC Scheme with an ‘A’ Grade (CGPA 3.27) and approved training partner of NSDC. He was very happy to declare that BSSS has been shining in the clouds with rising many numbers of students placed in top-notch companies and also spoke about the Futuristic Development Programs like ICMPR 2023 to elevate the standards of the college on a global level which includes the signing of MOUs with leading industries to enhance Industry- Institute relationship.
Dr. Lila Simon, Convenor of the conference mentioned that ‘an event like this cannot happen overnight. The wheels started rolling months ago. Which required planning and a bird’s eye for details. She mentioned that the conference has come up with more than 2000 registrations covering worldwide more than twenty-five countries and PAN India participation. Keeping the objective of motivating a large no. of participations the conference was organized in a hybrid mode which was the ultimate platform for Ph.D. students, research scholars, researchers, academic professionals, and industry peers which witnessed 16 technical sessions to foster participants with varied streams like English, Management, Education, Physical Education, Computers, Mathematics and Statistics, History, Philosophy, Sociology, Political Science & Public administrations, Psychology, Social Work, Hindi, Commerce, Chemistry, Physics, etc.
Online expert Talk by Dr. Tina Grotrez, Professor Harvard mentioned the relevance of such events which paves the way for global research, he also mentioned that India has been playing a phenomenal role in this area. Chief guest Prof. Suresh Kumar Jain, Vice Chancellor, Barkatullah University enlightened the gathering and motivated the students to go for such multidisciplinary approaches in their research areas. Mr. Avinash Shivalkar, DGM, NABARD congratulated the participants for coming up with such thought-provoking areas of research areas. Most Rev. Dr. A.A. S. Durairaj also congratulated and blessed the participants for keeping a synergic approach in their research areas. He Overwhelmingly presided that BSSS has reached its threshold of the important milestone of gloriously completing 50 years & graced the odyssey of this educational institute. The Inaugural came to a closure with a panel discussion, wherein Dr. Anastisia Shanshina, Executive Director Department of International Business Affairs EDUCATION Novosibirsk State Pedagogical University, Faculty of Foreign Languages, German and English Departments, Ms. Ravisha Merchant an Interior Designer, Art & Craft Curator & Feng Shui Practitioner and a leading designer at the Presidential Suites at the Hotel Maurya Sheraton, New Delhi, Dr. Mangla Gowri, an alumna from Jawaharlal Nehru University and an Assistant professor in the higher education department of MP, Dr. Anurag A Nagaich from the department of Agriculture and Planning MANIT, Bhopal gave a thought evoking discussion on Multidisciplinary Research Perspectives where they discussed on global challenges and its potential impact on the future of research.
The Day 1 of a ‘2-Day International Conference’ came to a closure with the felicitation of the guests and the national anthem.
