Dialogue has proven itself, in theory, and practice, to be an effective and efficient tool for creating the positive changes one urgently needs as a global community. Interreligious dialogue serves to transform perspectives and support viewing religious and cultural differences not as obstacles but as starting points of a process that aims to find sustainable solutions for the common good. Keeping the motif in mind the Bhopal School of Social Sciences organizes its Annual Inter-Religious Dialogue Session where representatives from various religious forums expressed their views and ideologies. Shri Ramesh Sharmaji, a representative from Hindu Community spoke on Hinduism and Sanatan Dharma where he mentioned that “Santan means eternal and cannot be restricted within the boundaries of time, space, nation, caste, color, and creed” and he also said that “a man should possess the truth, forgiveness, non-violence, and charity’’.
Syed Mushtaq Ali Nadvi Sahab, a representative from Muslim Community delivered his speech on the precepts of Islam where he mentioned that all religions intend to guide people to live a life as a good human being.
Gyani Gurbhej Singhji, a representative of the Sikh Community elucidated the underlying concepts of Sikhism. He emphasized that all religions have different paths to follow but the destination is the same for all.
Most Rev. Dr., A. A. Sebastian Durairaj SVD, elaborated on the tenets of Christianity saying that a man never wants to face difficulties in life but he should have his faith in God that if something has happened it happened for a reason and good.
The solemn program was attended by the Principal Dr. Fr. John PJ, Dr. Sr. Sonia Kurian, the staff members, and the students. It came to a close when the message of Peace and Prosperity was being spread.
