Session on "Digital Mindfulness" held at BSSS

The Department of Psychology at The Bhopal School of Social Sciences organized a successful "Digital Mindfulness" session with the MoU partner Aadhar Counselling & Therapy Bhopal. Esteemed guest speakers Ms. Anupama Maheshwari and Mr. Gursohail Chawla educated students on the importance of managing digital lives mindfully and staying safe online. The session began with introductions by Ms. Sanjh and Mr. Pranshu, followed by an outlining of the program schedule by Ms. Tamanna Gupta. Ms. Maheshwari elaborated on Digital Mindfulness, while Mr. Chawla discussed cyber threats and safety measures.

The topics covered were Digital Dependency, Digital Addiction, Digital De-tox, etc. A video was also shown regarding cyber threats. Afterwards, various risks were discussed like phishing, social media, and online gaming scams. Moreover, various common scams were also discussed like cyberbullying, cyber harassment, identity theft, and cyberstalking.
In addition, various risk mitigations were listed down and a questionnaire was given to the students regarding the frequency of digital daily use patterns. Lastly, ways were discussed on how to use the internet healthily.

The session concluded with a word of appreciation by Dr. Vinay Mishra, Professor and Head, Dept of Psychology, BSSS, emphasizing the session's role in promoting conscious and secure digital habits.
