PRAGYOTSAV 2026: BSSS Celebrating Indian Knowledge System Through Student Creativity and Expression

The Department of Management, The Bhopal School of Social Sciences (BSSS), in association with the Management Club, organised "PRAGYOTSAV 2026," a two-day confluence celebrating the richness and relevance of the Indian Knowledge System (IKS). The event was held on 10 and 11 September 2026 and provided students with a platform to express their creativity, knowledge, and perspectives. The event featured a range of engaging activities, including 'Manthan' – Debate Competition, 'Taal Tarang' – Dance Competition, and 'Chitra Pradarshani' – Art Exhibition, all centred around the theme of the Indian Knowledge System. The debate, in particular, encouraged students to critically deliberate on the contemporary relevance of traditional education through the topic, "Should Gurukul education be revived in the modern education system?" Prof. (Dr.) Smitha Pillai, Head of the Department of Management, provided academic leadership and guidance for the successful organisation of the event. Dr. Yashi Tiwari, Teacher In-charge and Event Coordinator, played a significant role in coordinating the activities and facilitating student participation. A key highlight of PRAGYOTSAV 2026 was the enthusiastic participation of first-year BBA students. The event served as an opportunity to appreciate and recognise their efforts, creativity and willingness to take initiative beyond the classroom. Their participation reflected the emerging talent and potential of young learners and provided them with valuable exposure to teamwork, communication, confidence-building and creative expression. The initiative also reflects the Department's commitment to nurturing the potential of first-year students at an early stage, encouraging them to explore their strengths and develop into confident and responsible professionals. Such platforms are expected to provide a strong foundation for greater student engagement and leadership in future academic and co-curricular activities. The event concluded on a positive note, with students actively participating across the various competitions and creativity.
