MY Bharat VBYLD Young Professionals Roundtable Organized at BSSS

Department of Social Work of The Bhopal School of Social Sciences (BSSS) in collaboration with the , Youth for Seva, India House Delhi, and the MY Bharat initiative under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, successfully organized the MY Bharat VBYLD Young Professionals Roundtable - Bhopal. The objective of the program was to provide a platform for youth to engage in meaningful discussions on topics such as democracy, good governance, civic responsibility, youth leadership, and nation-building.

The event commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp and a welcome address. BSSS Principal Father John P.J. and Ms. Nikki Rathore, Deputy Director at the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, presented the introductory context of the event, followed by the introduction of the panel.

Panelists who shared their insights:

  • Mr. Amitabh Soni: Founder, Abhedya, and Consultant, Assam Rifles

  • Mr. Imtiaz Ali: Environmentalist and Project Director, Sarthak Sanstha, Bhopal

  • Dr. Prashant Singh: Principal Manager - Development, Corecard India

  • Mr. Sambal Jha: Political Communication Strategist and BSSS Alumnus

The session was moderated by Associate Professor Dr. Rithwik J. Gandhe from BSSS. The discussion highlighted the pivotal role of youth in India's democratic and developmental journey. During the interactive Q&A session, students enthusiastically engaged directly with the panelists.

The discussion aligned with the broader vision of Viksit Bharat@2047, emphasizing the energy, innovation, technology, and grassroots participation of youth to transform India into a developed nation by 2047. The program also covered youth-centric initiatives including the National Youth Election Observers Scheme, Youth-Led Viksit Bharat Index, Vishwa Bandhu - Youth Ambassadors of India, MY Bharat Credit System, and Yuva Governance Monday.

At the conclusion of the event, Mr. Vinish Shaji, Head of the Social Work Department, delivered the vote of thanks to the guests, panelists, Youth for Seva, MY Bharat, faculty members, students, and volunteers. Notable attendees included Bhanu Pratap Singh from India House, Atra Sahu and Brijendra Prajapati from Youth for Seva, Atul Vishwakarma from BSSS, along with a large number of teachers, students, and representatives from partner organizations.
