Short Movie Show on Financial Literacy Organised for Students at BSSS
An academic short film show titled "₹evolution: The Financial Awakening" was organised on Sunday by the Department of Commerce for B.Com (Economics) students at The Bhopal School of Social Sciences (BSSS). The event was held in the Deeksha Hall, situated in the main building of BSSS. The primary objective of this initiative was to guide young individuals toward financial independence and foster harmonious, well-rounded financial decision-making skills among students.
Through a 33-minute short film titled "One Idiot" centered around financial planning, students were introduced to traditional savings alongside the importance of investments, insurance, responsible credit management, and long-term asset building. This activity was aligned with the academic curriculum of Financial Services and Insurance, offering students an opportunity to connect theoretical knowledge with real-life application. The film inspired students to reflect on their future financial decisions, seek advisory guidance, and adopt responsible financial habits.
Following the film screening, an interactive session was conducted featuring QR code-based attendance, film feedback, and self-assessment evaluations. The event was organized under the direction of Dr. Gaurav Atri, Coordinator, B.Com. Links, Department of Commerce. The core message of the program was: "Know Your Money, Build Your Future! Recognize Your Money, Shape Your Future!"
