The Department of Commerce and NSQF Certification in Travel and Tourism at the Bhopal School of Social Sciences organized an enriching heritage walk. The event, led by Dr Sushma Tirkey and Dr Deepak Kumar, saw active participation from 46 enthusiastic students. The heritage walk aimed to foster a deeper appreciation for the rich historical and cultural heritage of Bhopal. The students embarked on a captivating journey to explore the city's iconic landmarks. The itinerary featured a host of historically significant places, including the majestic Rani Kamlapati Palace, along with the associated Pan Chakki, at Lower Lake. The group also visited the revered Dargah Nawab Faiz Bahadur, Burj Kila Kohna, and the historic Hammam-e-Kadimi. The insights were shared by the two tour guides, one of whom was a renowned college alumnus (Ms. Drasthi Saxena), along with a culturally rich and experienced guide, Mr Taberz Khan, who captivated the students throughout the walk. Their profound knowledge of the city's heritage and its cultural significance added depth to the entire experience. The tour also took the students to other notable landmarks, including Gohar Mahal, Iqbal Maidan, Moti Mahal, Shaukat Mahal, and Sadar Manzil. The heritage walk culminated at Taj-ul-Masjid, the largest mosque in India.
