Student Exchange Programme between BSSS and IEHE Bhopal as a Collaborative Initiative

Departments of English of BSSS and IEHE organised a one-day student exchange programme. Under the exchange programme a workshop on “Professional Ethics in Research and Workplace” was curated to benefit the students of both the colleges.
The Patrons of both the institutions Dr Pragyesh Agrawal, Director, IEHE and Dr Fr John PJ, Principal, BSSS appreciated this initiative. Pertinent to mention here that both the institutions have recently been accredited with grade A + by NAAC.
The exchange programme commenced with Dr.Seeme Mehmood, Professor and Organiser and Dr.Ashok Chaturvedi, Professor and HoD from Department of English, IEHE, welcoming the Students and faculty members from BSSS. The workshop was adorned by enthusiastic audience comprising of faculty and students from both the colleges.
The keynote speakers were Dr.Shreeja Tripathi Sharma, Asst. Prof SNGGPG, Bhopal and Ms. Philomena Joseph, Asst.Prof BSSS, Bhopal. The experts coherently deliberated on the topic of the workshop by sharing their knowledge and experience with students who will soon head towards being great researchers and professionals with a true understanding of living in an ethical world. Dr. Shibani Basu Dubey, Prof and Head, Department of English, BSSS, added a spark in the by sharing anecdotes of a brighter side of a well-organized culture in the research work as well as workplace. Dr. Samina Azhar, Asst Prof., BSSS, was the lens behind the show who made this event possible in a very short period as an organiser.
Without sounding alarmist, the expert remarked that ethical approach is the main jawbone in research design that has no space for plagiarism and falsification and adding to it the important steps discussed that are required while forecasting your research. This also led to understanding how the corporate working culture becomes uncomfortable with unethical approaches if not shadowed in any working space.
The concluding feedback was given by students and scholars from the audience and IEHE management in regards to this Student Exchange Programme that has already built a strong bond between both the colleges with promises to bring more such enlightening sessions for the betterment of student fraternity.
