"E-Waste Collection Campaign Begins at BSSS with BCA Students Observing E-Fasting"The Department of Computer Applications at The Bhopal School of Social Sciences is proud to uphold its annual tradition of organizing an e-waste collection drive, underscoring its unwavering dedication to sustainability.On October 6, 2023, this year's drive commenced with great honor in the presence of Dr. Sr. Sonia Kurian, Vice Principal of The Bhopal School of Social Sciences,Bhopal who graced the inauguration ceremony along with HOD Ms. Swati Sharma, esteemed faculty members, and enthusiastic BCA students. Ms. Shilpa Jackson, Assistant Professor, emphasized the college's enduring commitment, with both faculty and students consistently collecting a substantial volume of e-waste each year. This collected e-waste is responsibly managed through a valued partnership with TATA Croma.In a bid to further promote sustainable and mindful technology use, the department introduced an innovative 'e-fasting' initiative. This initiative encouraged all students to temporarily disconnect from electronic devices during their college hours.Concluding the event, HOD Ms. Swati Sharma extended her heartfelt congratulations to the entire department for the resounding success of the e-fasting initiative and the continued achievements of the e-waste collection drive.
