BSSS youth learned the intricacies of foreign trade
Giving a practical learning experience and exposure is always a culture of BSSS. With the objective of the same, the students of B.Com Foreign Trade Specialisation, Semester III and V, and students of Certificate course in Fundamentals of International Business were taken to Container Corporation of India Limited (CONCOR), Mandideep. It is an Indian public sector undertaking that is engaged in the transportation and handling of containers.
Dr. Neeta Vaydande, Associate Professor, The Department of Commerce arranged this visit to acquaint the students with practical learning experience and to enable the students to understand various job opportunities available in the sector.
Students were delighted to witness the multimodal logistic operations and understand the minute process of cargo handling, warehousing, containerization, custom formalities, and documentation used in foreign trade. Mr. Prem Prakash, Deputy General Manager, Terminal Head, and Mr. Ajay Saxena, Officer (C&O) CONCOR assisted throughout the session
