Independence Day celebrated with pomp in BSSS

The country's 78th Independence Day was celebrated ceremoniously at Bhopal School of Social Sciences in the city. On this occasion, Colonel Vivek Singh Raikwar was specially present as the chief guest. Colonel Vivek Singh Raikwar was welcomed by NCC officer Captain Nasir Ali and NCC cadets. College Principal Dr Father John PJ welcomed the chief guest.
The Chief Guest hoisted the flag in the presence of the staff and students of the college, NCC cadets gave the national salute to the tricolor and the national anthem was sung collectively. College Principal Dr. Father John PJ, while congratulating everyone on Independence Day, called upon the youth to cooperate responsibly for a developed India.
Chief guest Colonel Vivek in his address asked the youth to come forward to serve the country with full zeal and enthusiasm and talked about performing their duties fearlessly, courageously and honestly. After this, a grand celebration was organized by the National Festival Committee in the auditorium of BSSS. A cultural program was organized in which Mayar Theater Group of the college presented a spectacular skit on military life.
The artists of Radio Rhythm enthralled the audience by singing many patriotic songs. In the end, college students presented a dance on patriotic songs which presented the dignity and glory of India with the spirit of patriotism. College students are actively connecting the common people with the feeling of patriotism by joining the Tricolor campaign at every house. Tree plantation was also organized on this occasion by Dr. Dharmendra Bahadur Singh, Program Officer of BSSS NSS and many saplings were planted.
