World Suicide Prevention Day.

the Department of Social Work along with all other departments under the faculty of Arts observed World Suicide Prevention Day. On the occasion, Dr Satyakant Trivedi , a consultant psychiatrist and member of Suicide prevention taskforce discussed about changing the narrative on Suicide. Before that a story of the family where someone has commited suicide was shared. The programme was initiated by Dr. Sharad Tiwari Deputy Director NHM (Madhya Pradesh) by introducing a Mannhit application on Android launched by government under National Health Mission. The programme was organised in collaboration with National Institute of Mental Health and Rehabilitation, Sehore with NGO partnership of HITAY. The students of education department also arranged a poster gallery on this occasion highlighting various emotion pertaining to suicide.
