BBA Students Visit L M Bakers, Mandideep, to Gain Industrial Exposure

The Department of Management, The Bhopal School of Social Sciences (BSSS), Bhopal, organized an industrial visit to L M Bakers, Mandideep, a contract manufacturing unit of Parle-G biscuits and rusk, for 36 students of BBA First Semester along with teacher in charge Dr Namrata Kishnani. The visit aimed to provide students with practical exposure to industrial operations, production processes, quality control, packaging, and distribution management. During the visit, students observed the systematic functioning of the biscuit manufacturing unit gaining firsthand insight into the assembly-line production of Parle-G biscuits. The process began with the mixing of ingredients, followed by moulding and baking. Students also witnessed the manual sorting of broken biscuits to ensure product quality, after which the biscuits were packed into small individual packets and further dispatch of boxes to central warehouses for distribution across the country. An interactive session with the factory representatives provided students with an opportunity to clarify their queries regarding industrial production and operational management. Students enquired about the number of units produced daily, quality assurance and inspection procedures, and the distribution network through which Parle-G products reach consumers across India. The Department continues to emphasize experiential learning through industrial visits and practical exposure, enabling students to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and industry practices.
