Green Day was celebrated with pomp and show at The Bhopal School of Social Sciences (BSSS) on Saturday.
The Humanities Department of the college organised the programme. All the students and staff members wore green clothes, songs, dances, street plays performed by the young students, on this occasion gave the message to Stay Green, Save Trees and Conserve Nature. These programmes conveyed the significance of the conservation of nature which could take our development to its zenith.
Principal Dr. Fr. John P.J. while addressing the students, emphasised that to save the environment from getting polluted, we have to desist from cutting trees and stop smoke and waste products of factories. It is the need of othe hour to be alert and stop noise pollution and water pollution.
Dr. Naina Singh, Head of Humanities Department, informed that the young students enjoyed cultural programs conducted as a part of the celebration. They were thrilled to dance to the tunes of the DJ.
On this occasion, a face-painting competition and a ramp walk were also organised, in which Vipra Jain and Shevy Khode were respectively declared Mr. and Miss Green.
