INTERACTIVE SESSIONS ON NEP 2020 BY PROF.C.B SHARMA

The Bhopal School of Social Sciences organized two enlightening sessions on National Education Policy (NEP). The resource person, Prof. C. B. Sharma, former Director NIOS and Professor School of Education IGNOU, captivated the audience with his in-depth knowledge of the National Education Policy.
The first session was attended by the teachers of BSSS and other colleges of the city. Dr.Fr. John P.J, Principal of BSSS and Director of BSSS Institute of Advanced Studies, welcomed Prof. Sharma. Prof. C. B. Sharma presented an insightful session on the quintessence of the NEP. He highlighted that the main aim of the policy is to provide equitable access to the highest-quality education for all learners regardless of social or economic background.
The second interactive session was organised by Bhopal Archdiocesan Education Commission. This session was attended by around 10 Principals and 280 teachers from all over the Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese of Bhopal. Dr.Fr. John P.J. was also present during the session. The program began with the welcoming of the guest by Fr. Varghese Shiju, Principal of St Xavier’s Senior Secondary School and the Education Secretary of the Education Commission of the Archdiocese of Bhopal. In this session emphasising, the development of the creative potential of each individual, Prof. C.B Sharma addressed the details of the NEP. The session also showcased an open panel discussion on implementation, procedures and insights on NEP 2020 in schools.
At the end of both the sessions, the resource person answered the queries of the participants. The participants enthusiastically participated in both the sessions and highly appreciated them. Sr. Kripa, Principal Carmel Convent Sr. Sec. School BHEL honoured Prof C.B Sharma with a memento.
