NCC Firing Range “Fr. Stanislaus Paul Memorial Small Arms” was Inaugurated At BSSS

The Bhopal School of Social Sciences inaugurated “Fr. Stanislaus Paul Memorial Small Arms NCC Firing Range” on 19 December 2022, where army officers Major General Ajay Kumar Mahajan, Additional Director General NCC Directorate- Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, Major General Dr. Sumer Ivan D'cunha, GOC Pashchim Madhya Pradesh Sub Area, Arch Bishop Dr. Sebastian Durairaj, Brig. Ghosh, Commander Bhopal NCC Group, Vice Principal Dr. Sr. Sonia Kurian, Holy Cross Church- Fr. Jommy unveiled the foundation stone of it. The invited military officers were given a guard of honor by the girl students of Carmel Convent, BHEL from the band. The range made in the college for the BSSS unit of MP Battalion NCC was unveiled by pressing the remote button.
Principal Dr. Father John PJ welcomed everyone and said that “I am dedicating this firing range to the motherland through this firing range young cadets would practice, apart from serving in the armed forces, through this they will also be able to show their skills in national and international shooting competitions reaching this new milestone in the golden jubilee year is a great success”. He apprised the cadets about the rich wisdom of the late Fr Stanislaus Paul with his able leadership ability. Addressing the youth on this occasion, Major General Dr. Sumer Ivan D'cunha said that “NCC is another name for discipline, being disciplined, when you move towards the goal, you definitely win”. He further mentioned that the students should move forward to achieve the goal on the strength of their hard work and follow their passion.
Major General Ajay Kumar Mahajan said that NCC grooms the personality and makes it a winner. Giving examples of many winners, he told the cadets that if they practice with passion, enthusiasm, and passion, NCC will take them to the heights of success and will also give them an opportunity to serve the country by joining the country's army. This is such a platform that becomes their identity as well as gives them self-satisfaction along with a successful life.
On this occasion, depicting military life through the mime, Lt. Nasir Ali, NCC officer of the college said that the firing range is a priceless gift for the NCC cadets. This will lead to their all-around development and skill improvement.
